Delivery Station & EV Charger Installation in Harrisburg, PA

Recently our team at D’Angelo Electrical Contractors Inc. completed a delivery station & EV charger installation in Harrisburg, PA for a 450,000 square foot Amazon facility. Our task was to take an empty 450,000 square foot building and fit out the interior to both conveyor space and EV charging space.

Our scope of work consisted of 3000amp second service for the EV portion of the building, installed in coordination with the utility. Installation of One Hundred and Twenty Four (124) level two EV charging stations with dedicated power circuits to each. Electrical power distribution panels for powering the charging stations in sections. New LED occupancy controlled lighting fixtures through-out. Power circuits and cord drops for the owner systems in the delivery station portion of the building. Conduit for the data and security requirements. Relocation of power for roll ups doors.

This project required more than fifty thousand feet of conduit, over twenty thousand feet of uni-strut, several hundred thousand feet of wire and a fluent team effort to complete the work on schedule.

  • Dedicated EV Service: We installed a substantial 3000 amp second service specifically for the EV charging portion of the building, working closely with the utility company for seamless integration.
  • Extensive EV Charging Infrastructure: We deployed One Hundred and Twenty Four (124) Level 2 EV charging stations, each with its own dedicated power circuit, ensuring reliable and efficient charging.
  • Power Distribution: We installed electrical power distribution panels to segment and manage the power supply to the charging stations.
  • Energy-Efficient Lighting: We implemented new LED occupancy-controlled lighting fixtures throughout the facility, maximizing energy efficiency.
  • Delivery Station Power: We provided power circuits and cord drops for the owner’s systems within the delivery station, supporting their operational needs.
  • Data and Security: We installed conduit for the facility’s data and security requirements, ensuring seamless connectivity.
  • Roll-Up Door Power: We relocated power for the roll-up doors, optimizing the building’s functionality.

The sheer scale of this project was truly remarkable. We utilized over fifty thousand feet of conduit, twenty thousand feet of uni-strut, and hundreds of thousands of feet of wire. More importantly, it required our teams highly coordinated and efficient team effort to meet the tight deadlines for this project.
